Threaded type check valve

Threaded check valve (coupling) - is a protective pipeline equipment of direct action with a threaded connection to the pipeline, which allows the flow of working medium in one direction. The flow is automatically shut off under the pressure of the working medium.

Threaded check valves are installed on pipelines that transport water, steam, and compressed air with a wide range of working pressures and temperatures. Application area

The installation places of check valves are prescribed by regulations or justified by the conditions of the technological process, for example, in building engineering systems, the check valve must be installed:

• On the water supply pipeline after each water meter.
• On the pressure nozzle of each parallel installed pump.
• In the heat point on the bridge between the supply and return pipeline in the dependent connection with the mixing unit of the heat carrier.

Disadvantages

• Insufficiently passable design.
• Most designs are unsuitable for repair.
• Coupling check valves, where the shutter remains in the passage section in the open position, have a high hydraulic resistance, so they should be checked by hydraulic calculation.
