Technical characteristics of automatic flow regulators

Flow range - the range within which the regulator can maintain the water flow, provided that a minimum pressure difference is created between the inlet and outlet connections.

Minimum pressure difference - the minimum pressure drop across the regulator during operation. If the pressure drop at the regulator's installation point is insufficient, it will not be able to maintain the desired flow rate.

Kvs of the flow regulator - the flow coefficient that corresponds to the water flow rate in m³/h at a temperature of 20°C, at which the pressure drop across the regulator is 1 bar. The Kvs value of flow regulators is used in hydraulic calculations to determine pressure drop losses.

DN of the flow regulator - the nominal diameter of the opening in the connecting pipes. The DN value is used to standardize the dimensions of pipeline equipment. The actual diameter of the opening may slightly differ in either direction.

PN of the flow regulator - the nominal pressure, which is the maximum excess pressure of the working medium at a temperature of 20°C, at which long-term and safe operation is ensured.
