Maintenance of Y-shaped filters

Mechanical filters for water purification need to be periodically cleaned of accumulated dirt. In some models of mesh filters, the chamber can be cleaned by opening the flushing valve, but for most models, it is necessary to drain the area where the filter is installed and remove the mesh.

The degree of contamination of the mesh filter is determined by the readings of the pressure gauges installed before and after it. If the pressure losses exceed the calculated values, the filter needs to be cleaned. That is why a plate with the calculated and permissible values of pressure loss on the filter should be located near or on the filter.

The threaded connections of filters with flanged connection to the pipeline need to be periodically cleaned of rust and lubricated.
